London Tech Week is a celebration of the great initiatives this buzzing hub of innovation, creativity and technology delivers years after year. Techies in London have not been defeated by the gloomy weather this year and came in large numbers to connect with people in their industry at the numerous events happening in East London Tech City.
Feed Magazine has also published their latest edition on Monday, featuring an interview with our co-founder Maria, who has joined Lewis Silkin, The Blockchain Bar and ImageRights International in answering questions on blockchain in media.
On Tuesday, Big Couch & FilmChain were part of the Createch 2019 event organised by the Creative Industries Federation as one of 50 UK companies to watch and the industry leaders for growth. The list was compiled by Springwise, Digital Catapult and London & Partners. We’re honoured to be literally bound together in this little red book with companies fostering innovation in science, art and entertainment.
On Wednesday, we had the pleasure to be part of the first European Female Founder Delegation organised by the Department of International Trade with Blooming Founders. It was great to be part of such an international group of women and hear about innovative businesses across industries.
Continuing on the same note, Big Couch received another nomination this week as “Best High Growth Woman Founder” by the UK Business Angels Association. We’re grateful to be on this list and we cannot wait for the awards ceremony on 2 July!
Last but not least, on Thursday we were part of “A Taste of International Innovation in London”, an official satellite event of London Tech Week bringing together some of the key figures of the international startup community.
We couldn’t be happier about the recognition we are receiving for our work and we are so grateful to be part of this thriving, supportive tech community in London!
